Woodly and the karaoke bar and nightclub Kaijakka in Tampere Finland have started a collaboration to promote sustainability in the restaurant industry. The popular nightlife spot Kaijakka will be using reusable drink glasses made from Woodly® material, replacing traditional plastic glasses.
Kaijakka aims to promote reusability and environmental sustainability through Woodly’s wood-based, recyclable, and carbon-neutral material. In collaboration with Woodly, Kaijakka seeks to support sustainable practices in the restaurant industry.
“The collaboration with Kaijakka is a great example of how the restaurant industry can also promote sustainability through the use of new plastic materials”, says Jaakko Kaminen, CEO of Woodly.
Kaijakka entertains its customers throughout the year through various events and concerts. Now, sustainability is also part of the experience offered by Kaijakka.
“With these reusable glasses, we’re not only reducing our environmental footprint but also providing our customers with a greener option that contributes to a more sustainable nightlife culture,” says Kimmo Sirviö, Chairman of the Board of SKA-Ravintolat Oy.
With Woodly’s reusable drink glasses, Kaijakka is committed to reducing the use of traditional fossil-based plastics.
