It is our pleasure at Woodly to announce that Tommi Vuorinen will take over as our new Chief Technology Officer. This news comes in addition to our recent announcement regarding Woodly’s new Social Media Manager.
Tommi transitions to Woodly from VTT Research Technical Centre of Finland Ltd., one of Europe’s leading research institutions. With an extensive career in material engineering at VTT spanning nearly 15 years, the institution’s former Research Team Leader brings a massive wealth of knowledge and experience to his position as Woodly’s new CTO.
“I am very excited to be a part of Woodly’s team. It’s great to be helping all of our important partners and take Woodly’s unique material to the industrial process,” comments Tommi.
The newly appointed CTO is no stranger to Woodly’s CEO Jaakko Kaminen, who has known and worked with Tommi on various projects since 2017. The working collaboration between the two has provided amazing results so far and Woodly’s organization welcomes Tommi with great anticipation.
”Tommi has been closely involved with the development of Woodly® material from the beginning at VTT and I am very happy to announce he has finally joined the Woodly team as our new CTO,” says Kaminen.
Former CTO Martta Asikainen continues her valuable work in the organization as Woodly’s new Chief Innovation and IP Officer. Moving forward, Martta will focus on innovational duties and improving Woodly’s patent portfolio.
