We are pleased to announce Woodly’s new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Christoph Schiller.
With an extensive career in sales and marketing spanning nearly 15 years, Christoph brings a massive wealth of knowledge and experience to his position as Woodly’s new VP of sales and marketing.
“My role at Woodly is to build a team of professionals, who will support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals. My personal goal is to contribute at a scale to food waste reduction and I believe that with this team we can make it. Woodly is a game changer in the packaging world and I‘m thrilled to be a part of the company,” comments Schiller
Due to a remarkable career in materials and packaging, Schiller sees true potential in Woodly’s goal of replacing fossil-based plastics with a wood-based alternative.
“The world as we know it is unimaginable without plastic. It protects our food, it‘s durable, it’s efficient – it‘s simply needed. And yet plastic, especially plastic packaging, is in the spotlight these days – not in a good way. Fossil-based plastic is detrimental to our planet. In recent years, I had a chance to encounter a number of great companies, that work every day to address this problem with the big three Rs approach: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Woodly however comes with the fourth pillar: Rethink,” he adds.
Woodly’s CEO Jaakko Kaminen is thrilled to start the new year and Q1 with a new prominent addition to the team.
“Christoph will bring a lot of valuable international expertise and knowledge to the Woodly management team. The international growth of sales will be accelerated as Christoph has strong sales experience in the plastics and packaging industry and working with consumer brands. I am very happy to have him on board,” comments Kaminen.
